Support Services

Support Services supports the Information Technology and Radio Communication needs of the department and its first responders.

Using technology today is the backbone to emergency response once you dial 911.  Mobile Data Computers (MDCs) installed in our vehicles connect to our 911 Dispatch Centers using real time data and call routing to the closest unit available. Using Automated Vehicle Locators (AVL) and satellite GPS technology, our Dispatchers can locate and relay vital information to our responding units via these state of the art computers. In order to support this system, Servers located at our headquarters are connected to each of our stations and training center to allow for quick flow of information and alerting to our personnel and vehicles located at each station.

Our Fire District depends on Information technology for our daily operations in and outside of the office.  In 2014, our main servers were upgraded to new virtual IP based technology supporting a lower cost initiative; In order for our personnel to communicate, collaborate and coordinate we made enhancements to these systems to help manage the day to day functions of the Fire District. Each station is equipped to support its personnel and volunteers with the needed technology and connections to handle call response, delegated duties and interactions with the public.  Our computers and network are constantly monitored and upgraded to keep up with todays cyber threats and intrusions from those that could do harm to the way 911 and responders are dispatched.
