Message From The Chief
Thank you for taking the time to visit the Fairmount Fire Protection web site. I am honored and proud to help represent the volunteer and career men and women of this organization. Since its inception in 1962, Fairmount Fire Protection District provides emergency services to its community of approximately 35,000 residence and business in unincorporated Jefferson County, Colorado. As an All Hazards response to Emergency Medical Services, Structural Fire Response, Hazardous Materials Response, Wildland Firefighting, and Technical Rescue emergencies the Firefighters and Administration are here to serve the community. In addition to our local response, many of our personnel respond outside of our community and state to assist with wildland fires, tornados, blizzards, hurricanes, and other emergencies.
We are dedicated to providing the community the highest level of professional fire and emergency medical services in a timely manner with trained and qualified personnel. The economy has proved difficult for many of us, including the fire service. We will continue to work with our citizens, businesses, neighboring fire departments, sheriffs, police, county, and city agencies as we embrace the challenges of the future.
As you visit our web site you will find information about the organization, its services and how to volunteer your time to one of the greatest and noble professions. Thank you for visiting and be safe.
Alan Fletcher, Fire Chief
